During its 17th national congress which was held from October 3 to 5, 2022, in Montpellier, the French Society of Microbiology awarded the University Thesis Prize – Prize of the Organizing Committee, to Mathilde Bergamelli, who carried out her PhD thesis in team 7 of Infinity, under the supervision of Dr Cécile Malnou.

Her researches focused on congenital infection with human cytomegalovirus and the impact of this infection on the composition and function of placental extracellular vesicles. They gave rise to two publications which can be consulted here:
